Project Outreach has maintained an ongoing connection with out colleagues in Vietnam. In 2017 we were invited to return. We worked with the health care team at Tam Tri DaNang General Hospital. Our patients came from the remote villages in the central mountains of Vietnam. The majority of our young patients were extremely malnourished.
We worked closely with our local health care colleagues and the Smile of Compassion Charity. We returned in 2018 and in 2023. Please enjoy our video (above) of our Pediatric Burn Mission May 2023.
Project Outreach partnered with Phan Chau Trinh Medical School and Research Centre (PCTU). We sponsored 2 senior medical students for a one month clinical experience in Calgary in July 2024.
In September 2024 along with HealthcareSIM Dynamics, Project Outreach provided an intensive educational seminar on the Fundamentals of Effective Simulation based learning medical, nursing and allied health care providers.
We returned to Vietnam in October 2025 with HealthcareSIM Dynamics and held another successful medical education seminar. We saw amazing gains in our students/colleagues from last year to 2025. They showed great teamwork, clinical skills and decision making. We know with Simulation Education our Vietnamese collegues will have tremendous impact on advancing health care skills and direct patient care in their teaching and clinical practice.
Project Outreach has been invited to provide our Simulation Education Seminar to more medical centres in both Vietnam and the developing world.
